The original story is about a power struggle between the Kauravas and the Pandavas, who were crowned at Hastinapur. His great-great-grandfather is depicted in Adiparva. In this mythological text, we find evidence of individual and group dances.
In Indra's court, it is shown that the apsaras, Gandharvas, eunuchs, and Indra themselves knew dance and music was also their entertainment. Lord Vishnu ordered an apsara named Menaka to perform a very erotic dance in order to break Vishwamitra's sage's power and it was shown that Vishwamitra had achieved austerity with this dance. Arjuna, the son of the Pandavas, who danced to slay a demon named Narmasura by a dancer named Taltamanam, gained knowledge of music and dance from Urvashi, Menka, etc. in Indra's court. Also, Indra Maharaja suggested Arjuna learn dance-music from an apsara named Chitrasena. During his exile, Arjuna trained Uttara, the daughter of Virat Raja, to dance under the guise of 'Brihanalla', and for this, he had to undergo a dance test. From above it seems that Arjun was a good dancer. Lord Krishna is famous as Natwar. He often danced Raslila with the gopis and Radha in the moonlight night on the banks of the Jamuna. Is equal.
